About Our Event
Join us for our complimentary Annual Sweetheart Screening where you and your loved ones can learn how to be heart smart and get a cardiovascular screening. Our MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute experts, Sanjiv Patel, M.D., and Antonio Covarrubias, M.D., will give cardiovascular educational presentations that you don’t want to miss. You'll have a chance to ask the doctors questions as well! Meet with various physicians and medical staff, including Yu-Ming Ni, M.D., Michelle Taylor, NP, and more.
Appointments are required for screenings. Register for your screening appointment by clicking on an available appointment slot below and completing the online registration form. To schedule your screening over the phone, please call (714) 378-5526. Screenings only offered to adults 18 and older. Face masks are required.
Screenings Offered by Appointment*
We're offering biometric screenings that will include blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, and non-fasting glucose and lipid panels. Carotid artery doppler ultrasounds will also be offered along with thyroid gland ultrasounds. Please select a time below and complete the registration form to secure your appointment.

Educational Presentations
- 3:30pm - 4:00pm: Carotid Disease and Chronic Venous Insufficiency Testing presented by Antonio Covarrubias, M.D., Vascular Surgeon. Dr. Covarrubias specializes in vascular diseases including but not limited to leg pain and discomfort due to chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins and arterial insufficiency, wounds, limb preservation, aneurysmal disease, and hemodialysis access.
- 4:30pm - 5:00pm: Common Cardiovascular Conditions and Treatment Options presented by Sanjiv Patel, M.D., Interventional Cardiologist. Dr. Patel is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology and adult echocardiography.
