The MemorialCare Health System is known for performance and quality. Our nurses, who are dedicated to the pursuit of best practices, are the core of our Simply Better care. Their dedication to our patients and families, the community, and their colleagues, drive our exemplary outcomes and service.

MemorialCare has approximately 4,000 registered nurses. More than 50% have earned their BSNs, and many have achieved board specialty certification in more than three dozen specialty care areas. Many benefit programs exist to support the professional development of our nursing services. Our average length of employment is more than a decade. Through our clinical projects and research, our shared governance structures support evidence-based practices and decision-making. Our professional practice models provide a framework for how we collaborate and communicate to provide the highest quality care to those we serve in an environment of compassion. We provide clinical advancement programs to align nursing contributions to our strategic outcomes. Nurses use all their skills and ability as they perform many different roles to support inpatient and outpatient care and improve the processes we use to perform care.

Nursing Leadership at MemorialCare advocate for their staff, while promoting quality outcomes. Their efforts create and maintain an environment where nurses love to come to work, support continuous learning and opportunities for growth, and the achievement of excellent quality and service outcomes.

Each of our hospital locations has achieved the prestigious Magnet® Designation for achievement of nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. These nursing achievements set the bar for better patient outcomes and high levels of job satisfaction.
