A Message to Our Patients About COVID-19

With COVID-19 community infection now at low levels, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced on March 3, 2023, that they are changing their guidance on masking in healthcare settings. On March 9, 2023, The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) announced they will continue to require indoor masking in healthcare settings (hospitals, SNFs, clinics, etc.) in patient care areas for healthcare workers, though masking will become only recommended for patients and visitors. In compliance with LACDPH and The Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services (Health Department), healthcare workers must wear a mask that always covers the entire nose and mouth when providing patient care or working in patient care areas at all MemorialCare healthcare facilities in Los Angeles County.
