Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UVPPP) is a robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgery procedure designed to treat sleep apnea that involves the removal of obstructive tissues found in the back of the throat to open the airways. Sometimes people still struggle with sleep apnea even after they use a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machine. In those cases, UVPPP may be needed.
When it is determined that surgery is the best option, MemorialCare offers a range of surgical approaches, from traditional open surgery to minimally invasive surgery. We make your needs and patient safety the top priorities and together we make the right choice.
