Laurel Truscott, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist at the Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.
Dr. Truscott received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in pediatrics, and a fellowship at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine — known as the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA — in pediatric hematology/oncology.
She is currently a clinical instructor in pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Truscott has presented at local and national meetings as well as published several peer reviewed research papers in immunotherapy for non-Hodgkin lymphoma using hematopoietic stem cells gene-modified with anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptors. Her areas of interest include pediatric leukemia and lymphoma, and specifically immunotherapy to treat these diseases.
