Comprehensive Wound Care for Adults and Children
The Advanced Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center, a service of Saddleback Medical Center, provides a full range of wound care for adults and children on an outpatient basis. Board-certified surgeons who are wound care specialists provide advanced evidence-based care for complex conditions and cases.
We treat chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation, radiation treatment, pressure injuries or other conditions, for more than 500 patients annually. The center provides a comprehensive outpatient program designed to speed healing, preserve limbs and prevent the recurrence of challenging wounds. Anyone with a wound that has not started to heal in two weeks or is not completely healed in six weeks may be a candidate for advanced care through the Center.
Our wound care specialists work with the patient's primary care physician to create unique programs tailored to each individual. The fully equipped Center has three hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Many patients benefit from this type of therapy as part of their healing plan as it helps healthy cells divide, grow and fight infection.
- Successful wound outcomes for 97% of patients with an average of 30 days to complete healing
