In Honor Of
A thoughtful way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other holiday such as Mother's or Father's Day is to make a contribution to Saddleback Medical Center Foundation in honor of someone special. Upon making your gift, the Foundation sends your honoree a tribute card notifying him or her of your gift without specifying the dollar amount.
Grateful patients and their families who want to thank their nurse, physician or other caregiver who made a difference in the care they received at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center can make a tribute gift through the Guardian Angel program. Whether you want to give thanks to the doctor who saved your life or the nurse who took care of your newborn baby, a Guardian Angel gift is a thoughtful way to express your gratitude.

Giving a gift in memory of a family member or friend is a meaningful way to pay tribute to that person's life. Donors often choose to designate gifts to specific service areas of Saddleback Medical Center or programs/services that made a difference in the care of their loved ones.
In Lieu of Flowers – Wording for Funeral Announcements
As a thank you for the care loved ones received at our hospital, families sometimes ask guests to give to Saddleback Medical Center, a nonprofit hospital, in lieu of flowers. Below is sample wording that can be used on a funeral announcement or program:
In lieu of flowers, the [NAME] family requests a gift to MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center, which can be made through Saddleback Medical Center Foundation. Please designate your gift to: Area of Greatest Need or [Name of Fund].

While memoriam gifts can be given year-round, Tree of Light tribute gifts can be made during the holiday season. Tree of Light donations benefit patients of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center. The names of those honored and remembered are listed on the Tree of Light Tribute page.
