Support our hospitals as we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic
The new stimulus bill extended your charitable tax breaks! Are you taking advantage?
We are so grateful for all of the generous donations we have received from our community during this pandemic.
Be assured our hospitals and sites remain open and ready to care for all of your healthcare needs. Our hospitals are closely monitoring the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). MemorialCare continues to follow all protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep our community safe and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. And we have access to the best available information to update our guidelines and processes, as needed, to responde to this evolving situation.
MemorialCare continues the expansion and development of cardiovascular care services in Southern California by welcoming two nationally and internationally renowned cardiovascular surgeons, Marc Sakwa, M.D., and Jeffrey Altshuler, M.D., to the MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute.
This state-of-the-art new facility – the Cherese Mari Laulhere Children’s Village - will bring 36 pediatric outpatient specialties under one roof. The unique setting of the Children’s Village will bring all of Miller Children’s & Women’s pediatric specialties under one roof, allowing families to receive all the care they need in one easy to access location.

In 1960, visionaries and philanthropic members of Long Beach communities expanded Seaside Hospital and moved it to a new location with a new name - now called MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. Future vision and philanthropy continue to be key elements in keeping high quality healthcare close to home.
Since 1961, we have been a trusted partner with those in our community to ensure that excellence in health care is available right at home. We do this by supporting patient programs, clinical research, education, medical equipment and capital expansion at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation has partnered with hundreds of donors and organizations to raise the funds necessary to provide "that extra measure of care" to those seeking care on our campus. We are able to provide this support through the stewardship of your philanthropic dollars. We invite you to join us to make a difference in the health of our community.
Thank you for being part of the healing.
