Patients who have metastatic cancer in their spinal bones can get compression fractures of their vertebral bones. Many of these patients are not surgical candidates and can experience debilitating pain. Using image guidance, small holes are made in to the vertebral bones and cement is injected to stabilize the fractures and decrease pain.
