Obstetrics and Gynecology is an amazing field of medicine which allows doctor and patient to grow through many stages of life, from an adolescent going through puberty to the young adult building a family and to older adults reaching menopause. Over the years, Dr. Tanamai has enjoyed working with women as they journey through these different stages in their lives. Her aim is to build relationships with her patients and accompany them step by step in understanding their body as they move through these stages and to keep them healthy!

Dr. Tanamai graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a degree in both Biological Sciences – Genetics and Biomedical Engineering. Following graduation, she continued her research in developing optical imaging technologies in breast cancer at the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California at Irvine campus. Dr. Tanamai’s work with breast cancer patients helped her realize that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine, so she moved across the country to Buffalo, New York where she completed her Medical degree at State University of New York at Buffalo. To further her skills in obstetrics and gynecology, she completed a residency (affiliated with Yale University and University of Vermont) at Danbury Hospital, a community hospital in Connecticut. She worked at Kaiser Permanente Northern California for 2 years.

She love’s cooking, especially Thai food. She also enjoys swimming, hiking, knitting, and crocheting.
