Ronald H Hartman, MD

Founded Lakewood/Los Alamitos Eye Physicians and Surgeons in 1964. He is a full clinical professor at University of California, Irvine and considered one of the most experienced ophthalmologists practicing today in the United States. Dr. Hartman has enjoyed practicing in Lakewood for over 40 years. His many honors and leadership positions include: Chairman of the Governing Board and Chief of Staff at Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Chief of Ophthalmology at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, and Admissions interviewer for Cornell University.

Our board certified, fellowship trained refractive surgeons have performed thousands of successful LASIK procedures. LASIK is FDA approved, safe and virtually painless.

IN OFFICE LASER & SURGICENTER

We are pleased to have one of the few insurance approved in office laser and surgicenters. Procedures are performed in a comfortable, safe and relaxed non-hospital atmosphere with the aid of a Board Certified Anesthesiology.

EYELID SURGERY & BOTOX

Reduced puffy or tired eyes. Remove crows feet, frown lines and forehead wrinkles. Look and feel years younger. Our training in oculoplastic surgery and Botox allows safe, outpatient repair of these conditions, often without any skin incision. In may cases, this can be covered by Medicare or other insurance.

CATARACT SURGERY

Glare, the need for brighter light, or foggy vision may all be signs of cataracts. While not dangerous, cataracts may cause significant problems with vision. Modern, small incision cataract removal and intraocular lens implantation can be performed on an outpatient basis, with minimal post-operative restrictions. In addition to the services listed above, we offer complete family eye care, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, sunglasses and frames, available right in our office.
