Pavan K Mankal, MD

Dr. Pavan K. Mankal is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Comprehensive GI Care in Los Alamitos, CA.

His clinical interests include colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver disease and Barrett’s esophagus. 

Dr. Mankal received his medical degree from Ben-Gurion University - Medical School for International Health (Israel) at Columbia University in New York City.  He then completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology from Icahn School of 

Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.  Dr. Mankal is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

He has published widely in various peer-reviewed journals, written book chapters and presented posters at national conferences.

Outside of gastroenterology, Dr. Mankal enjoys spending time with family, sports, cooking and traveling.
