About Me
Dr. Patel is board-certified in neurology. Dr. Patel is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed his residency, chief residency, and stroke fellowship at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. He is an assistant clinical professor of neurology at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He also is on the clinical faculty in the Department of Medicine at University of California, Irvine. He enjoys teaching neurology and internal medicine residents and has been awarded the “Outstanding Teaching Award” at both institutions.
Dr. Patel is the medical director of the Stroke Program at Los Alamitos Medical Center and Fountain Valley Regional Center. Additionally, he serves as the section chief of neurology at Long Beach Medical Center. He actively participates in clinical research in the field of neurology with CNS Network. He also is a member of the speakers bureau for the treatment of migraine headaches, stroke and Alzheimer's.
In 2012, the U.S. News & World Report named Dr. Patel as one of Southern Californiaʼs 100 Top Doctors.
