About Me

Nimesh Pathak, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of corneal diseases and laser vision correction. He understands that patients trust him with their most precious sense, their eyesight. He strives to improve his patients' lives by safeguarding and optimizing their vision.

Raised in Orange County, Dr. Pathak earned his Bachelor of Arts in molecular and cell biology at the University of California at Berkeley where he graduated with honors. He was able to continue his academic excellence at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. He then completed his medical internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Pathak honed his surgical skills at the Cook County Hospital of Chicago where he served as chief resident. Wanting to expand his knowledge of corneal diseases and refractive surgery, Dr. Pathak completed a fellowship at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Pathak specializes in diseases of the cornea. He has undergone extensive training in procedures such as corneal transplantation, DSAEK, Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL's) and the treatment of dry eyes. He has received certification for the use of Intacs segments in the treatment of keratoconus. He is trained in the newest laser vision correction techniques, including "bladeless" LASIK. He has presented his research at international ophthalmology conferences such as the World Cornea Congress. Dr. Nimesh Pathak enjoys traveling, visiting museums, cooking, and watching the hometown Lakers.
