About Me
Nam Nguyen, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric and general surgeon and a clinical professor of surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Dr. Nguyen’s clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery (MIS), thyroid and parathyroid tumors, pediatric solid tumors, esophageal anomalies, inflammatory bowel diseases, rectoanal anomalies, hepatobiliary disorders (especially choledochal cyst), and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
His research focus is in minimally invasive surgery clinical outcomes. Some of his work includes: comparison thorascopic vs. open repair of tracheoesophageal fistula, laparoscopic management of choledochal cysts and thoracoscopic management of congenital diaphragmatic hernias.
Dr. Nguyen has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications appearing in several medical journals and has co-authored chapters in medical textbooks throughout his career.
