Krishnansu S Tewari, MD

Dr. Krishnansu Tewari is a board-certified gynecologic oncology surgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of all gynecological cancers at the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Medical Center. He also serves as a Professor for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, UC Irvine School of Medicine.

Dr. Tewari received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics/gynecology and his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at UCI Medical Center. He is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics & Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

His clinical interests include cytoreductive surgeries and advanced gynecologic surgery; ovarian carcinoma and other gynecologic cancers; ovarian cancer; fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancers; gynecologic oncology; gynecologic tumors; and da Vinci® robot-assisted surgery.

Dr. Tewari’s research findings have been published in over 170 peer-reviewed journals.  He is an active member of the Cervical Cancer Task Force (National Cancer Institute); member-at-large, nomination committee, Society of Gynecologic Oncology; and a member of the publications committee, NRG Oncology a non-profit research organization formed to conduct oncologic clinical research and disseminate study results for informing clinical decision making and healthcare policy.
