About Me

Kourosh Kolahi, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon with additional advanced subspecialization in the hand and upper extremity. His expertise focuses on bone and soft tissue disorders related to trauma, sports injuries, overuse, arthritis, and age-related degeneration. Dr. Kolahi treats all ages, including pediatrics and older patients, and also works with athletes. He emphasizes nonsurgical treatments as well as minimally invasive and microsurgical techniques, to provide a holistic, patient-centered approach.

After graduating from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors, Dr. Kolahi studied for his Doctorate of Medicine at the University at Buffalo. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the UCSF Fresno, where he was twice the recipient of the Resident of The Year Award, as well as winning the Resident Scholar Award. Dr. Kolahi then pursued additional subspecialized training in the hand and upper extremity at the University of New Mexico. In addition to being published several times and giving a number of well-received presentations, Dr. Kolahi has earned numerous awards and grants.

Both Dr. Kolahi and his wife are southern California natives and have now returned home to be near family and to serve their community. Dr. Kolahi loves to spend time with his family and two dogs. He also enjoys cooking, hiking, basketball and watching stand-up comedy.
