Johannes A Bernbeck, MD

Dr. Johannes Bernbeck, M.D. is a fellowship-trained, board-certified spine surgeon who specializes in treatment of the spine in the neck, upper back and lower back for conditions involving the bones, discs, joints, and ligaments. He is with Beach Orthopaedic in Los Alamitos, CA.

Dr. Bernbeck received his medical degree and residency in orthopaedic surgery from Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California (USC). He then completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Bernbeck is the recipient of the Edwin R. Guise Jr., Memorial Junior Resident Paper Award in 1995. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.

He has given numerous presentations and his research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Bernbeck is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and North American Spine Society (NASS).

Dr. Bernbeck enjoys the great outdoors and camps, skis, dives, fishes, boats, and sails. He tries to inspire those around him to live each day to its fullest. He goes on at least one mission trip a year in a developing country to serve patients in these medically underprivileged areas.
