About
Jeanne Nwagwu, DO, chose a career in medicine because of her lifelong passion for helping others and advocating for patients. Her interest in women's health was inspired by her mother, who worked as a labor and delivery nurse throughout Dr. Nwagwu's childhood.
“I was drawn to Obstetrics and Gynecology because it allows me to care for women through every stage of life—from their first gynecologic visit, through pregnancy and childbirth, and into menopause and beyond,” she says. “I enjoy building long-term relationships with patients and helping them navigate some of life's most important milestones. I also have a special interest in caring for underserved populations and improving access to quality healthcare for all women.”
Dr. Nwagwu finds the most rewarding part of her work to be building trusting relationships with her patients. “My goal is to help them feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healthcare decisions,” she says. “I enjoy educating patients, advocating for their needs, and working together to achieve the best possible outcomes.”
A proud Nigerian American, Dr. Nwagwu grew up in Inglewood, California, and is excited to return to Southern California to serve the community that helped shape her.
“I want my patients to know that I am committed to being their advocate and providing compassionate, evidence-based, and collaborative care. I believe every patient deserves to be treated with respect, listened to carefully, and included in decisions about their healthcare.”
Outside of work, Dr. Nwagwu enjoys baking, crafting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. “I love exploring new places and learning about different cultures through travel,” she says. “I also enjoy creative projects and finding new ways to express my creativity.”
