About Me

Janet McCormick, M.D., graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She began her medical training at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center and then transferred and graduated from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical School.

Dr. McCormick's pediatric residency was at UCI affiliated hospitals. During her third year, she served as chief resident in pediatrics at MemorialCare's Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. It was during her training that she realized that Long Beach was where she wanted to live and Columbia Pediatrics was where she hoped to practice. She joined the practice in 1979.

Dr. McCormick is board certified in pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. She is on staff at Miller Children's Hospital and she is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UCI.

Her hobbies include hiking and gardening. She is married and has one daughter.
