About Me
Gretchen M. Stipec, M.D., is a board-certified radiologist at the MemorialCare Breast Center at Long Beach Medical Center.
Dr. Stipec received her medical degree from University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico and her residency in radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY. She completed her fellowship in Breast Imaging at Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, CT.
Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Currently, Dr. Stipec is the principle investigator and overseeing two multi-center clinical trials introducing the QT Ultrasound Breast Scanner as a non-invasive, FDA-approved adjunct to mammography (XRM).
Dr. Stipec has held academic positions in Beth Israel Medical Center and George Washington University Hospital. She continues to serve as a member of several societies, including the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Radiologic Society of North America (RSNA).
In her free time, Dr. Stipec enjoys dancing, reading, meditation and learning about wellness and spiritual growth.
