About Me

Eric R. Hubbard, DPM, MS Ed was born in Palm Springs, California and grew up in Downey. After his formal education he returned to Southern California and has practiced in Long Beach for nearly 40 years. He and his wife Millie live in Long Beach and have five children; Corey, Susan, Sean, Heather and Nicole. In his leisure time he plays basketball, golf and volleyball. Dr. Hubbard supports youth sports and is involved with Rotary International, and the California State University Long Beach 49er's locally.

Memorial Podiatry Group, Inc., the office of Eric R. Hubbard, DPM, specializes in medical, surgical and sports-related injuries to the foot and ankle. Dr. Hubbard is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric Orthopedics as well as Primary Podiatric Medicine. He is also a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and Podiatric Review.

Dr. Hubbard attended Brigham Young University in Utah and after transferring back to California, received his Bachelors Degree, his Master's Degree from Pepperdine University and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. Dr. Hubbard began practicing in Long Beach after his 1969 residency. His education and experience mean that you will receive the best foot and ankle care available today.

Dr. Hubbard's many Organization Memberships include being a Fellow of the American College's of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Foot Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and the American Academy of Podiatric Administration.

While Dr. Hubbard is currently the Department Chair of the Podiatry Section of Orthopedics at Long Beach Memorial, he was also the Founder of the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Training program at Long Beach Memorial where he served as Director for 12 years. This program provides an excellent post graduate education in a three year residency program. He has been a clinical instructor at the Ohio, Illinois, New York and California Schools of Podiatric Medicine and in his private practice, Dr. Hubbard is on Staff at Long Beach Medical Center, the Surgery Center of Long Beach and Harriman Jones Surgery Center.

Dr. Hubbard has been a lifelong member of the Los Angeles County, California and American Podiatric Medical Associations where he has made a large impact on the profession of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He has served his profession in nearly every capacity. Starting out as Student Body President in school and culminating as President of the American Podiatric Medical Association in 1989.

Dr. Hubbard has published various articles related to Podiatric Medicine, from "Ethical Billing Practices" to "Nitroglycerine Ointment as a Vasodilator in the Lower Extremities" and "Technique for use of Silastic Toe Prosthesis in Hallux Valgus Surgery" among others.

For his efforts and accomplishments Dr. Hubbard has been well recognized by his colleagues receiving various honors including but not limited to: "Podiatrist of the Year" in California in 1982 and in Los Angeles County in 2002, "Lifetime Achievement Award" in 2001 and "Alumni of the Year" in 1995.
