Edwardo Tellez, MD

Edwardo Tellez, M.D., received his bachelor of science degree and medical degree at University of Southern California (USC). He is a full-time pediatrician in the Cerritos office of Pioneer Medical Group and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Early in medical school he realized that treating and caring for children would bring him the greatest fulfillment. Dr. Tellez completed his pediatric residency at University of California, Irvine (UCI) and has been practicing in and around the Los Angeles area since 1989. His love for children along with his outgoing and warm personality makes his office a comfortable environment for the many children and families that he treats each day.

Dr. Tellez continues to hold a teaching position a UCI and continues to train many of the residents on the latest advances in pediatric medicine. He is currently the Chairman of Pediatrics for Pioneer Medical Group and the team leader for Pediatric Best Practice Team for the Memorial Care Healthcare System. He has also served as the Chair of Pediatric Medicine at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women's Long Beach/Long Beach Medical Center from 2001 – 2005.

When not working with patients, Dr. Tellez enjoys spending time with his son. In addition, he enjoys traveling, skiing, golfing and softball.
