About
Edward A Wagner, MD, studied medicine, completed his residency in internal medicine, and earned his fellowship in hematology/oncology all at the University at California, Irvine. Dr. Wagner decided to pursue medicine because he wanted to significantly make a positive impact on his patients' lives. He specifically chose to be an oncologist after his personal experience with cancer and his love of molecular biology.
I treat all of my patients as if they are my family. This stems from my personal experience with cancer, experiencing and understanding what is important from the patient’s perspective.
Dr. Wagner grew up in Orange County, California. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, going skiing, biking, and hiking.

Dr. Wagner is sharp and stays on top.of things. I have never had a doctor send in my blood work request (I use Quest Labs) and also give me a copy. Quest will then notify me if they do not hear from me to set up an appt. He sets up follow up appointments before you leave the office which gives you ample time to get your blood work done. Thete is no rushing around because of his organization skills.When Dr. Wagner determines our next step in getting me to feel better, he normally gives me options. We can do A or B and he allows me to give feedback as to what Option I would like to try. He's a busy doctor. Call as soon as possible to get an appointment.
