Medi-Cal is a different government program than the health benefits exchange. Medi-Cal coverage is generally less expensive than the exchange for an individual or family. However, you must be eligible for Medi-Cal.

Whichever plan you choose, ensure that it allows you access to the primary care physicians and hospitals you prefer.
