If your employer has over 50 full-time employees, your employer is considered a large business. In 2015, under the new health care law your employer will be required to offer you and your family health insurance benefits options. Check with your employer to learn more about your plan options. Most employers offer HMO, EPO and PPO plans to select from. You will also receive a notice from your employer that you may choose to decline enrolling in an employer plan and enroll in Covered California. In most cases, this will not save you money.
