The centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires annual training in General Compliance and Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA). The training requirements apply to all entities that provide either administrative services or health care or prescription drug services under contract with a Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug Plan.Compliance and FWA Training is required for all new hires within 90 days, and all employees, CEO, Governing body members, senior administrators and managers annually, and whenever policies/procedures are revised or updated thereafter.The ICE (Industry Collaborative Effort) General Compliance and FWA presentation was designed to meet the requirements for CMS General Compliance and FWA training and is available for use.
