Are you age 18+? Are you interested in serving our older community but not sure how?

The Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is a comprehensive patient-care program originally designed by Yale University School of Medicine Dr. Sharon K. Inouye and her colleges. This program provides optimal care for older adults in the hospital.

As a volunteer, you will help keep hospitalized older adults oriented to their surroundings, help meet their nutrition and hydration needs, assist in promoting mobility within the limitations of their physical condition, and prevent cognitive and functional decline by providing therapeutic activities, and so much more!

If you are interested in being a part of this exciting program, please complete our questionnaire

Or, contact Janine Hooper: [email protected]
and/or Julia Lieberman [email protected]

Please note the minimum time commitment is 200 hours, or 4 hours a week. If you are interested in doing more, you are most welcome! We are particularly in need of helping hands with our older patients on the weekends, but we are happy and appreciative of any time you are available!
