Do You Know Someone Fighting Cancer?

You Can Help Them With a Special Gift

MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation is raising funds to create a new outpatient resource at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center. It will be a soothing, healing place where patients with many types of cancer can receive their chemotherapy or other infusion therapy treatments.

Why An Infusion Center?

To receive chemotherapy, cancer patients whose oncologists do not run their own infusion centers must check into the hospital through the standard admitting process. They receive chemo treatments within a hospital patient room, sometimes sharing a room with another patient.

Designed for Comfort and Convenience

The infusion center has been designed with the needs of our patients in mind. The center will include:

  • Dedicated space for patients receiving chemo and other infusion therapies
  • Spa-like ambiance for comfort and peace
  • Eight patient bays designed for privacy
  • Comfortable recliner chairs
  • Wi-Fi access with an entertainment source
  • Central ground-floor location for convenient drop-off and pickup

Jean Howard: The Kindest Spirit

The center will be dedicated to the memory of our beloved patient, Jean Howard, who fought ovarian cancer bravely for seven years. Even feeling her worst, Jean cared more about other people’s comfort than her own. She enhanced the lives of others with her constant giving spirit.

Jean’s husband Bill Howard and his family are partnering with Saddleback Medical Center to create a meaningful legacy that will help patients like her — The Jean Howard Infusion Center.
