About Me
Dr. Yashar Ilkhchoui is a fellowship trained, board-certified anesthesiology and pain medicine specialist at the Sherman Oaks Pain & Spine Institute.
His clinical interests include pain resulting from underlying disease (cancer, neuropathy, spine & joint) using different modalities for treatment.
Dr. Ilkhchoui received his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and residency in anesthesiology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in pain medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Ilkhchoui is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in anesthesiology and pain medicine.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and serves as a qualified medical evaluator with the California Department of Worker’s Compensation. Dr. Ilkhchoui serves on the editorial board of multiple peer-reviewed medical publications including SM Radiology Journal, Journal of Clinical & Medical Case Reports, Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases, Austin Journal of Neurosurgery, and International Journal of Anesthetics & Anesthesiology.
