Vy Kieu, DNP, studied at Brandman University in Irvine, California to become a nurse practitioner. She chose a career in medicine, specifically in primary care, because she enjoys helping and teaching her patients how to live a healthy and happy life, and having the opportunity to care for each patient through a long-term professional relationship.
Vy grew up in Southern California and is fluent in Vietnamese. Outside of medicine, Vy enjoys traveling, going to museums, attending concerts, and watching sports such as volleyball, baseball, and football.

Vy is great listener and solves my health problems as they pop up as I bring them up. She keeps things easy or refers me to experts for the specifics. Really fantastic. Waited 5 minutes in the lobby, less than 5 in the exam room, spoke and seen by Vy for 10-15 minutes, and 5 minutes for lab work.

Also the you got me in very quickly to get the x-ray taken on my neck. I am glad she was the one to replace Dr. Simon after he retired a few weeks ago. Vy Kieu was just okay. She addressed the concerns I had in my appointment but the visit felt very impersonal. She didn’t have any personal touches, such as ensuring to make eye contact with me as the patient or show that she really cared. She was very fast with her visit and just typing away on the computer updating my chart the entire time. She did what she needed to do, but I felt that I was just another patient on her list to check off and get through the day. I would not go back to her because I like to feel a more personal connection and that those participating in my healthcare team actually care.

Poor patient handling and communication skillsOur experience with Vy has been very poor, she hardly answered our queries until asked multiple times. A Painful injection was given to my wife but she was not helpful and communicative and was very rude and limited in interaction. I would not recommend her to any patient.
