About

Dr. Vishal Patel’s passion for cardiology took root early on. He explains, “My path to medicine originally began with a natural curiosity of how the world around us works. This inspired me to choose cardiology, as it sits at the unique intersection of engineering and medicine. I further specialized in interventional cardiology as it allows me to combine advanced diagnostic technologies, minimally invasive procedures, and innovative therapeutics to profoundly impact heart disease.” Dr. Patel values the opportunity to form deep bonds with his patients and share in their life-changing moments.

“Being able to serve as a beacon during a patient's journey through cardiovascular care is incredibly fulfilling. Witnessing that tangible improvement in their quality of life is what drives me to continue striving for the best outcomes.”

Dr. Patel grew up in the San Fernando Valley and completed his training at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of California Irvine. “I am incredibly proud to remain in Southern California to practice locally,” he says. “I am deeply committed to building strong community partnerships that bolster local heart health education and expand access to vital cardiac services. I look forward to delivering the highest level of compassionate, state-of-the-art cardiovascular care to my community.”

In addition to English, Dr. Patel speaks Gujarati and has a basic conversational knowledge of Hindi and Spanish. “I want my patients to know that I view our relationship as a true partnership. Because of my unique training background spanning physiology, engineering, and interventional cardiology with specialized training in integrative cardiology, I focus on heart health through a multifaceted approach. My goal is to listen closely to your story, treat you as a whole person, and empower you with the tools you need to live a long vibrant life.”

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Patel likes to stay active and creative. “I enjoy racquetball, snowboarding, basketball, woodworking, music, and chess. I also have a strong passion for graphic design and technology, with a special interest in sustainable energy and electrification.”
