Dr. Van Trinh’s father dreamed of her becoming a doctor and over time his dream became hers, too. She emerged herself into the field by volunteering at doctor offices and hospitals during her high school and undergraduate education. After falling in love with her volunteer work in the medical setting, Dr. Trinh went on to become a family medicine physician. She completed her medical education at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2011 and her residency at the same institution in 2015. When asked what gives her the most satisfaction working with her patients, she said:
“Witnessing my patients live out their healthiest lives possible and building a lasting lifetime patient to doctor relationship.”
Van Trinh, M.D., was born in Vietnam and lived there until she was 9 years old. Her family then moved to Kansas, which is where she studied medicine and practiced for a few years before ultimately moving to California. It is important to note that she is fluent in Vietnamese. She wants her patients to know that she genuinely cares for them and their well-being. Dr. Van Trinh biggest motivator is making a difference in the lives of her patients.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys going to church, spending time with family, reading medical journals, shopping, and karaoke at home.
