About
Dr. Chen is a board-certified internist with a robust and dynamic practice in Irvine for the past 17 years with MemorialCare Medical Group. He entered the field of medicine for the intellectual challenge in solving problems with each patient's diagnosis and he bases his practice on interactive communication with his patients.
Dr. Chen graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1998. He received his Master of Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health and went on to complete his internal medicine residency training at University of California Irvine Medical Center in 2003.
The focus of his practice from the beginning has always been patient-centric care. Dr. Chen firmly believes in constant collaboration and communication between patients, doctors, nurses and staff to provide exceptional healthcare in a nurturing setting.
In addition, with the constant changes in the healthcare and socioeconomic landscapes that we are in, it is also Dr. Chen's belief that his practice should be in a perpetual evolution for the best. With that, his team works closely with a team of specialists and other healthcare providers to provide the most up-to-date, on demand care, and guidance to his patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Chen enjoys playing golf, cooking and traveling.

First time with Dr Chen, he seemed in a rush and did not pay much attention to my case, didnt even fill out surgical history which I have or asked for diseases which I also have. I think all that is part of building a medical history and it does not rely onthe patient to remember to mention it, should be asked by the Doctor
