About
As a young girl in Kurdistan, Talar Moy, FNP had a chronic hip problem that required her to see doctors on many occasions. The experience led her father, a well-known TV and theater actor at the time, to suggest how she could help many people by caring for them, which inspired her to choose a career in medicine.

Moy lived in many countries before settling in the United States. She earned her post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from West Coast University after completing her Master’s of Science in nursing at the same university.
Moy speaks Kurdish and Arabic. Her travels and love of helping people have motivated her to join medical missions that provide free care to disadvantaged people in countries all over the world including Egypt, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey and Holland. Her most recent mission, in September 2024, involved caring for Yazidi women in Northern Iraq who had been captured and assaulted by ISIS members.

I went in for abdominal pain. She seemed to write off my pain as just a UTI even with my recent medication history. I told her I didn't believe I had one as I'm very familiar with the pain. I messaged her after my cultures were found clean to ask whether I could continue to take OTC medicine to help my reported symptoms and I was just referred to my PCP. I didn't even get a message about whether I should continue with the antibiotics or not. It didn't feel like my issues were addressed and that she instead went with whatever was in front of her as the simplest solution. I ended up having to Google what all of the test results meant on my own.
