About

As a young girl in Kurdistan, Talar Moy, FNP had a chronic hip problem that required her to see doctors on many occasions. The experience led her father, a well-known TV and theater actor at the time, to suggest how she could help many people by caring for them, which inspired her to choose a career in medicine.

“I get great satisfaction when I see my patients feel better. I care about them as family and want to improve their quality of life by attaining the best possible health outcomes.”

- Dr. Moy

Moy lived in many countries before settling in the United States. She earned her post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from West Coast University after completing her Master’s of Science in nursing at the same university.

Moy speaks Kurdish and Arabic. Her travels and love of helping people have motivated her to join medical missions that provide free care to disadvantaged people in countries all over the world including Egypt, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey and Holland. Her most recent mission, in September 2024, involved caring for Yazidi women in Northern Iraq who had been captured and assaulted by ISIS members.

“I have great passion for my job and truly love working with MemorialCare. It’s amazing to me how this organization strives to provide better care for the community.”

- Dr. Moy

When she is not seeing patients, Moy loves to cook, bake and see the world through travel.

Dr. Talar May was kind, friendly, spoke to the patient age appropriately, made the patient comfortable and included the patient in every step of being checked out. Excellent bedside manors! On top of her being above and beyond on her care, she was very knowledgeable and helped make a treatment plan.
