Shalu Gupta, MD

Shalu Gupta, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She is a refractive surgeon who also treats many eye care diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy and many others.

Dr. Gupta received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles. After getting her undergraduate degree she moved on to UCLA’s medical school where she would receive her doctorate in medicine in 2003. She would then complete her internship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Department of Emergency Medicine. Afterwards, she would go on to complete her ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.

Dr. Gupta is a present member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Orange County Society of Ophthalmology and American Medical Writers Association.

Dr. Gupta is fluent in Hindi, and near fluent in Spanish. Her personal interests include yoga, golf and spending time with her family.
