Sapna Mehta, DO

Sapna Mehta, DO, studied medicine at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Illinois. She later went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Her first job out of residency was at Cedars Sinai from 2013-2017. She later moved to Orange County to be closer to her family and joined MemorialCare in September 2017. She has been pivotal in helping the launch of MemorialCare Medical Group’s hospitalist program at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center in 2013. She is currently the facility medical director for the hospitalist program at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

Dr. Mehta chose a career in medicine because she loves connecting with others, building strong relationships, and enjoys making a positive impact by helping her patients and their families. Dr. Mehta’s philosophy is to constantly learn and grow. Medicine continues to evolve, and she is passionate about learning and growing with it to find better ways to serve her patients.

I am deeply committed to helping others and feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to care for patients. This is my dream career and just feel so lucky every day to get to practice what I love. I love being able to ensure my patients feel supported while they are receiving care in the hospital. I want them to feel confident and trust their team of providers.

Dr. Mehta grew up in Calabasas and can speak Spanish. Outside of medicine, she loves spending time with her two young boys and often takes them to the beach or other fun outdoor destinations. Dr. Mehta also enjoys doing yoga and meditating in her free time.
