Dr. Ronald Young hails from Denver, Colorado. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Molecular Biology. He then went to medical school in Denver at the CU-Health Sciences Center. He completed his medical training in Southern California at Northridge Family Practice, a UCLA-affiliated family medicine residency, where he was chief resident. He is board certified in Family Medicine.
He enjoys family medicine because of the opportunity to prevent illnesses, the ability to interact with each person to find the best course for each individual and the amazing prospect of working with all the generations within a family.
Dr. Young likes sports medicine and helps treat student-athletes at local high schools. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, traveling, reading and playing the saxophone.

On my visit prior to my annual physical, I saw him for advice on my wrist issue (De Cuervain’s Tenosynovitis), a painful condition I had for 7 months. I had seen an orthopedic surgeon who recommended surgery. I went to Dr. Young for his thoughts and he recommended a site where the Dr. who created it, has non-surgical treatments for many orthopedic conditions, including DCT. I followed her methods and it worked. A painful, 7-month issue was completely mitigated, allowing me to avoid a surgery and long recovery period. 👍🏼

Wow, what can I say... only thing anyone could ever ask for would be to be treated like Dr. Ronald Young treats his patients - like they were one of his family! My old timer doctor retired and I bumped from urgent care to urgent care for a while as I could never find a doctor that I trusted would do their best for me. Not any more. Been seeing Dr. Young a few years now and couldn't be happier. A plus is that he is affiliated with the amazing Hoag Hospital which couldn't make me happier (a requirement for our family of five). Dr. Young is extremely knowledgeable, caring, professional, highly competent, and has a wonderful personality. He is never afraid to send you out to a specialist for tests and second opinions despite insurance companies always trying to save money. His staff echoes his caring. Goes to show you when you have a positive energy, it spreads to all those around you. We now live 20+ minutes north and driving to Irvine well worth every minute. Thank you Dr. Young!

Receptionist is horrible, you cannot place someone on hold for 20+ minutes and then hang up within 5 seconds of finally answering the call.
