About Me

Dr. Feldman has spent more than a decade in the Laguna Hills area providing care to the seniors and leadership to many members of the medical community. He founded Mission Geriatric Medical Associates (MGMA) in 1999 to further his goal. He is developing a system of care he refers to as "community based geriatrics" which will not only serve the unique needs in his community, but also serve as a model for managing an enlarging, aging senior population in the United States. Being just outside the largest independent senior community in the country gives his group a chance to pioneer this approach. By forming a coalition of seniors, not for profit medical organizations dedicated to serving senior's needs, and the medical community much has been accomplished in a short time. Mission Geriatric Medical Associates not only merges primary care medicine with specialty care and ancillary services at one location, but endeavors to provide team approaches to manage and prevent Geriatric syndromes such as falls and fractures, urinary incontinence, memory loss and dementia. We are aided by having free case management services courtesy of South County Senior Services funded by the Unity Way, and by care consultants on site from the Orange County Alzheimer's Association. Throughout his career he has served as Medical Director, consultant, and a member of various leadership committees, and lectures to the physicians nationally on topics such as Alzheimer's disease and Osteoporosis. He currently is President and Medical Director for MGMA, a member of Monarch HealthCare's Medical Leadership Council, SCAN Health Plan's Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and the Medical Science Advisory Board to the Orange County Alzheimer's Association. Dr. Feldman received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate School of Medicine in Brooklyn in 1986. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, GA in 1989. He received Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1989. He received Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1989, his certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics in 1994, Certification in Clinical Densitometry in 2001. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Geriatric Society, and International Society of Clinical Densitometry. Most importantly, Dr. Feldman is the proud father of 3 sons. He enjoys outdoor activities, music, his profession and life.
