Raj A. Mittal, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in hepatobiliary and transplant surgery procedures.
Dr. Mittal completed his residency in general surgery at University of Massachusetts followed by a fellowship in hepatobiliary & transplant surgery at Georgetown University Hospital and a second one in transplant surgery at New York University School of Medicine.
His clinical interests include liver & pancreatic services, liver & pancreatic cancer and robot-assisted surgery.
Dr. Mittal provides a custom approach to each patient. “A ‘concierge approach’ in the sense of ‘I want to listen to you, understand what is important to you, your lifestyle, your expectations and tailor an approach specific to your disease and you’. I am motivated by my patient’s satisfaction and giving them custom treatment.”
Dr. Mittal is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and certified by the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
