About Me

Dr. Omidvar is board certified in neurology. He received his medical degree, Diplôme d'État de  Docteur en Médicine from Faculte de Medecine de Rouen, France. He was first fascinated by the study and practice of neurology because “The brain is the final frontier of the human body. I was initially drawn to this field because of the multitude of neurological conditions that were lacking a therapeutic answer," says Dr. Omidvar. After finishing his residency in Neurology at the Harbor-University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center, he later served as the department’s Chief Resident.

Dr. Omidvar has contributed to more than 40 neurological clinical trials in collaboration with CNS network and is the four-time recipient of the “Patients’ Choice Award.” He has been repeatedly listed in the "Consumers' Guide to Top Docotors" and has been the recepient of “Outstanding Teaching Award.” Dr. Omidvar currently  serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the David Geffen University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine and is the Co-medical director of the MemorialCare Rehabilitation Institute at Long Beach Medical Center. He has a special interest in Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinsons Disease, Autonomic Disorders, Stroke and immune mediated neurological disorders including Multiple Sclerosis. He is fluent in English, French and Farsi.
