About Me
Dr. Michael Maehara attended medical school at St. Georges University School of Medicine, in Grenada, Wisconsin and completed his internship at Kings County - Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Maehara completed his fellowship in Rheumatology in 1987 and has been practicing in the Los Angeles/Long Beach area ever since.
Dr. Maehara entered into the field of Rheumatology because he was inspired to help people that are incapacitated and help them gain better day-to-function. He wanted to contribute to the lives of the many geriatric patients that suffer from auto-immune diseases.
Dr. Maehara is also an Accredited Consultant for Osteoporosis, and an Accredited Reader of Bone Density Results.
