Maryanne R Ibrahim, MD

Maryanne Ibrahim, MD, a southern California native, attended medical school at UCLA and completed residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Ibrahim became a hospitalist as she appreciates the breadth and acuity of medicine in the hospital setting. She enjoys working with the multidisciplinary hospital team, coordinating care with different specialties, considering all organ systems, and building strong relationships with her patients and their families.

Being admitted to the hospital is an incredibly stressful time for both patients and their families. I strive to educate, comfort, guide and advocate for my patients during their time in the hospital and as they transition to the outpatient setting again.

Outside of hospital medicine, Dr. Ibrahim is interested in global medicine, has participated in various medical missions and conducted HIV research in Botswana.

Dr. Ibrahim speaks colloquial Arabic and conversational Spanish; outside of medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities - running, biking, kayaking, playing tennis, spending time near the beach, and traveling.
