About
Dr. Hackett grew up in Irvine, California and is thrilled to be practicing medicine in her hometown. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate education and medical school at University of California, San Diego. She felt fortunate to stay in San Diego to complete her residency training at Rady Children’s Hospital. She always felt called to be a physician and loved the academic rigor and challenging nature of the field. Her true passion is to ease the suffering of others, and she feels so lucky to have a career dedicated to helping others.
Every child is special and unique. I truly enjoy connecting with my patients and their families to discover the perfect environment for each child to grow and thrive. It is a privilege to be a part of their lives and to watch them grow from birth to adulthood.
As a general pediatrician, Dr. Hackett’s goal is to help children develop good habits that will last a lifetime, whether it is developing a good sleep routine as an infant, educating a child on the importance of nutrition, or even helping a teenager learn how to manage stress appropriately. We now know such habits can reduce the risk of disease or illness in the future, even decades later. She believes that by ensuring the physical health of children and assisting parents in laying a good foundation for their overall development and mental health, pediatricians can positively impact children so they may grow up to lead happy, successful lives.
I am extremely dedicated to my practice and strive to provide exceptional medical care with the compassion and attention each patient deserves.
Coming from a diverse family and having studied Cultural Anthropology, she subsequently enjoys helping families discover how to best care for their own children based on their personal, cultural practices or personal goals. Dr. Hackett’s personal interest is endocrinology, mental health and newborn care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hackett enjoys spending time with her husband, three young children and their labradoodle. As a family, they love exploring in nature, hiking, mountain biking and spending time at the beach. Personally, she enjoys yoga, reading, painting and traveling.

We LOVE Dr. Hackett! I don't believe the negative reviews about her as they sound made up - as she has never pushed an agenda on me or my kiddos. They are tweens now and she has been taking so much care to discuss their emotional well-being, screen time, all things beyond just physical health. She is amazing! She takes more time and care than any doctor Ive ever seen-- she even called me at home to check up on my kid who was sick. She goes above and beyond! We followed her from her san clemente practice to irvine. I've noticed reviews upset about vaccine schedules-- sounds like new parents who don't understand that pediatricians have to adhere to their practice's standards, it's not in the doctor's control.

Dr Hackett is amazing!Dr Hackett came to our pediatrician practice a few years ago and my kids adore her. She is personable, friendly, and great with all 3 kids. I have two teenage boys and they prefer seeing her over other docs they have seen in the past. My daughter also loves her. She talks to the kids like they are people!

We love seeing Dr Hackett. She is extremely thorough, caring and appropriately concerned about any issues my kids have. We've never felt rushed and as my kids are teens, she takes the time to speak to them about their issues even if they seem minor. She's easy to get a hold of via My Chart. The only issue I've had is Memorial Care's phone system is tedious to get a live person on but that's an admin issue not Dr Hackett's purview.

We waited over half an hour and saw the doctor in a virtual visit for exactly 3 minutes. Still paid for a normal visit. She barely looked at the baby, just listened to our description. There was no need for this appointment at all, for such a straightforward problem my messages to the nurse should have sufficed to get a prescription

Good Dr. but pushes VAX HARD!!we saw Dr Hackett for years and we were overall pleased when we had major concerns or sick visits but one thing that I disliked is how hard she pushes vaccines. We always stayed on schedule and chose to delay them and spread them out, but even so, she would try to talk us into doing multiple vaccines at one time Despite our wishes. She would say that kids will develop a fear of doctors by having them return more to get their shots every few months and she would recommend giving a child 4 to 6 vaccines in one visit which is absolutely absurd in my opinion. I often times felt very uncomfortable and she would also push vaccines that weren’t on the California required list for schools. Come to find out that doctors get financial incentives for every vaccine. They get a child so that makes sense now but is still very disturbing. so if you were trying to raise a Pharma free kid in anyway she is not the doctor for you

Hate to do this, but I am hoping this negative review would motivate Dr Hackett to respond to my appeal. I am a physician. My nephew was charged nearly $3000 for routine immunizations for his kids, and was misled by Dr Hackett's office that the charges would be fully covered by his traveler's insurance. They weren't, and he is now being sent to collection. The office has been unresponsive to my nephew's appeal. I reached out to Dr Hackett on his behalf, but so far she has been unresponsive. As a fellow physician, I am troubled by her unresponsive and possibly unethical behavior. If you are still reading this post, it means that she hasn't responded to me yet.
