About

Dr Kristina Nylander grew up in Laguna Hills and has been a pediatrician in south Orange County since 2004.

Dr. Nylander attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1995.  After moving to Portland Oregon and working in medical research, she attended Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and graduated in 2001.  Dr. Nylander then returned to southern California for her residency in pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  Upon completing the program in 2004, she was the recipient of the Pediatric Primary Care Award and the Golden Apple Teaching Award.  She is board certified in Pediatrics, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a UCLA Certified Lactation Educator.

Special interests of Dr. Nylander include early child development and breastfeeding support. As a pediatrician, Dr. Nylander most enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and their families.

Dr. Nylander lives with her husband and two daughters in Laguna Niguel and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.
