About

Jacqueline Malekirad, MD, received her medical education at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle in 2011. She later went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Greenwich Hospital Yale New Haven Health in 2015 and her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Scripps Clinics in San Diego in 2018. Dr. Malekirad decided to pursue medicine because she wanted to dedicate her life to alleviate pain and suffering in others. She loved the field of oncology because of its scientific aspect and fast pace in developing new diagnostic and treatment approaches. However, as a target of religious discrimination and persecutions, she was deprived of college education in her homeland in Iran. After immigrating to the United States, she finally found the opportunity to pursue her dreams.

Dr. Malekirad is triple board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. She treats all forms of blood disorders with specific interest in solid tumor malignancies including breast cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, skin cancers, cancers of head and neck, as well as all benign blood disorders.

My greatest satisfaction in work comes from spending time with my patients, to know them as a whole person, in the context of social and environmental factors, and providing them with knowledge about the specifics of their diseases to empower them to take control of their treatment, making informed decisions in a collaborative and interactive process.

Dr. Malekirad grew up in Iran and is fluent in Farsi. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, listening to music, and cooking.
