About Me
Dr. Persidsky is a fourth-generation physician and board-certified in internal medicine (1996). He has been practicing in the Greater Long Beach area since 1995, initially with several medical groups, but in 1999 he established a full-time house-call private practice, which now also offers concierge (retainer) medicine component. Dr. Persidsky always combined primary care with hospital follow-up for his mostly elderly patients at Long Beach Medical Center. His areas of expertise include geriatrics, wound healing, hyperbaric medicine, dementia care, and end-of-life care, palliative care, as well as hospice care.
Dr. Persidsky graduated with honors from Notional Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine (1981) and was also awarded an additional degree - a Ph.D. equivalent in Cardiology by Ukrainian Institute of Cardiology, Kiev (1987). After Graduating from medical school Dr. Persidsky spent nine years at the 250-bed geriatric research hospital of the Institute of Gerontology in Kiev (a National Institute on Aging of Ukraine and of the former Soviet Union), first as a resident and fellow and later as an attending internal medicine staff. He also successfully completed an internal medicine residency at LAC+USC Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Persidky’s other credentials include assistant/associate professorship of research at the Institute of Gerontology, visiting professorship of social work at California State University, Long Beach, voluntary faculty at USC School of Medicine. He is still actively involved in gerontological research, participating in the national and international conferences and congresses.
