About Me

Dr. Bush was born and raised in Huntington Beach and was fortunate to complete all of his education and training in Southern California. He earned a bachelor’s in Engineering Physics from Westmont College and a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering from USC. Following his college graduation, Dr. Bush spent a year teaching at his alma mater and coaching the boys soccer and baseball teams while serving as a high school youth leader at his church.

Dr. Bush attended medical school at Loma Linda University where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and subsequently matched in Emergency Medicine at UC Irvine. While at UCI he served as the administrative chief resident and focused his research on patient satisfaction.

Since Dr. Bush’s residency graduation he has worked exclusively at MemorialCare. His first 14 years with MemorialCare began at Long Beach Medical Center, where he watched it grow from a 21 bed emergency department to one of the largest ED’s in Southern California. During his tenure with MemorialCare he has worked as an EPIC physician trainer, acted as the medical director for the Long Beach marathon and sat on numerous committees.
