About Me
Dr. Youssef is a fellowship-trained, board-certified pulmonologist, internist, and critical care specialist who specializes in the treatment of pulmonary diseases and critical illness. He serves as an associate program director for the UCI Medical School internal medicine training program, residency site director at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and trains pulmonary and critical care fellows from UCI Medical School.
His clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension, thoracic oncology, reactive airway diseases, sleep medicine, and interstitial lung disease.
He earned his medical degree from University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical School followed by a residency in internal medicine at UCI Medical School. He then completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCI Medical Center. Dr. Youssef is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonology, critical care medicine and internal medicine.
Dr. Youssef was awarded the American College of Chest Physician’s (ACCP) “Early Career Professional Development” honor credited to pulmonologists demonstrating significant potential at the onset of their careers. He is an active member of the ACCP, American College of Physician (ACP), the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM).
