About

Emily Jeon, NP chose a career in medicine, especially cardiology, because both of her grandparents passed away from heart disease. “They struggled with diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure,” she recalls. “Seeing how these conditions affected them made me want to help others prevent and manage cardiovascular disease. I'm drawn to cardiology because it allows me to make a real difference through both prevention and treatment.”

As a family nurse practitioner, Emily says her greatest professional satisfaction occurs “When patients take what we've discussed and come back with their own lifestyle changes. When they tell me they've started exercising, eating healthier, managing their conditions better, it's incredibly rewarding. It's even more meaningful when they refer their friends or family members, because it shows they trust me. I want my patients to know that I truly care about them and their health. I take time to listen, explain things clearly, and work with them as a team to reach their goals.”

Emily is grateful to pursue cardiology.

“It's both personally meaningful and intellectually challenging. I’m excited to continue growing as a provider who not only treats disease but also empowers patients.”

During her spare time, Emily loves checking out new coffee shops with her husband. “I also love hosting dinners for friends and family. Sharing good food together is one of my favorite ways to relax.”
